Executive IC, growth · they/them · Berlin

I've run the team. Now I'd rather run the test.

Growth exec, 14 years in. Head of Growth at Bloom, Head of Marketing at HER, both since acquired. I've led teams of 45 and budgets north of €10M a month. Now I work as an executive IC: positioning, experiments, measurement, and the automations that hold it together.

Taylor Gobar
Why IC

Managing 45 people taught me where the leverage is. In 2026 it's in the work. One operator with good systems ships what used to take a pod.

Worked with

Hopper · HelloFresh · Bloom · Airbnb · Machine Zone · Zocdoc · DraftKings · HER · Spotify · LEGO · Adobe · komoot · Busuu · PayPal · Venmo

The work

Zocdoc — TV relaunch

Make your product a painkiller

Problem2020 flipped the plan. Zocdoc needed to be known for telehealth, fast.

The callGo to TV with a 20-part series repositioning Zocdoc as a telehealth brand.

What I builtThe company's first-ever TV ad, plus its first telehealth OOH.

ResultThe marketing science didn't lie. TV worked.

HER — Viral CRM + expansion

HER stands up to transphobia

ProblemGrowing a queer dating app internationally, in a category most platforms treat as taboo.

The callTake a public stand in CRM, and push into LATAM and APAC instead of fighting over EMEA CAC.

What I builtThe lifecycle campaign that hit national press, ASO localization across Asian markets, and a lean contractor team.

Result1.5M+ new users in 7 months. CAC down 60%+. Since acquired by Match Group.

Bloom — Finding a fit

Self-therapy, positioned

ProblemPatients needed help and couldn't afford weekly therapy. Bloom needed product-market fit for a category that didn't exist yet: self-therapy.

The callPosition against the Duolingo-fication of mental health apps.

What I builtThe first web funnel and web experimentation platform for pricing and distribution tests, with no head of web product.

Result1M+ subscribers. Since acquired by Spring Health.

One test, six networks calibrated

ProblemSix ad networks, each above $400K a month, and an experimentation code freeze.

The callRun one geo incrementality test and use it as the prior to calibrate the MMM for everything else.

What I builtA GDN heavy-up geo test in CausalImpact, plus a dashboard historizing every incrementality test as MMM calibration input.

ResultMarginal iROAS only held to ~1.4x baseline spend, not the planned 2x. That answer calibrated six networks with no separate tests for months.

Taylor's Hot Tay-kes

Most attribution is theater. Pay for incrementality.

Creators should get paid like media: on performance.

Headcount is the most expensive way to scale growth in 2026.

What people say

“Taylor is a sharp and strategic marketer with a strong sense for leadership and a clear focus on delivering impact.”
Wolfgang Peters, Phiture
“Their implementation of best practices and systems actually made coming to work a lot easier.”
Roger Sequeira, Zeeto
“Taylor is the single most proactive person I have ever worked with.”
Jason Morano, FitLab
“One of the most capable digital marketers I know. Their experience, creativity and intellectual curiosity set them apart.”
Will Carey, Zocdoc

An old boss said he wouldn't interview me because my website gave guru vibes. Nah, babe. I just miss customizing my MySpace.
